Franklin Sustainable Farms | Spring Run, PA

At-a-Glance

  • Organic growers' co-operative serving the Path Valley and Franklin County
  • Close descendent of the now-defunct Tuscarora Organic Growers' Co-operative
  • Farmer-owned, and primarily Amish
  • Offers certified organic produce and a small-but-growing number of value-add items

Franklin Sustainable Farms is an Amish farmer-owned organic growers' co-operative in Franklin County. Most of FSF's members were part of the Tuscarora Organic Growers' Co-op (TOG), which closed in 2019, eliminating these Amish farmers' access to valuable markets in urban areas such as Baltimore, Washington DC, and even Harrisburg. In the aftermath of TOG's closure, Franklin Sustainable Farms quickly rose up to fill the void, and now sends trucks out from the idyllic Path Valley three days a week.

Their certified organic produce can be found in many of Baltimore and DC's best restaurants -- we're happy to be able to keep some of it closer to home!
